Research Laboratory Volunteer (Part Time)
The Schisler Lab at UNC-CH is actively looking for volunteers who are interested in gaining animal handling experience in a research laboratory setting. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting in managing mouse colonies housed in UNC Animal Facilities on campus
- Data entry
- Lab organization
This position will require high levels of teamwork, as you will work closely with an experienced mouse care team. The selected student will be expected to be available for 10-20 hours/week. We are in need of someone to start ASAP. This is a great opportunity, for example, pre-professional students looking to gain research experience.
Students interested in volunteering should familiarize themselves with Dr. Jonathan Schisler’s publications that can be found on our website. Dr. Schisler has a hard-working and focused lab with a productive environment.
Please feel free to email Becky Sanchez at buckeyebecky@unc.edu with your fall/spring/summer availability and resume.
