Jonathan Schisler

Jonathan Schisler is our PI (Principal Investigator). His favorite thing about lab is getting to see people geek out over nerdy science things. Back in the day when he worked on the human genome project, one of his favorite memories was coming back to check on a 12-16 hour DNA sequencing gel with his lab mates where they cranked Metallica and played Doom over the local network.

Outside of lab, he is passionate about puppies and movies! He’s currently going through the entire Godzilla franchise (36 movies) with his two sons.
